A historic retreat
between Mount Etna and the sea
Nestled in the heart of Sicily, this historic country house was built in 1888 by lawyer Gaetano Romano as a gift of love for his wife, Lady Lucietta. Still owned by the same family, it has been recently restored with care, preserving all its original charm.
The estate spans around 10 hectares of farmland, where nature, history and hospitality come together to offer a truly authentic Sicilian experience.
We are located just 500 metres from the spectacular Alcantara Gorges, with direct access from the SS 185 at kilometre 56.4. Taormina and Giardini Naxos are about 10 km away, while Mount Etna and the renowned “Il Picciolo Golf Club” are 12 km away.
Just 3 km away lies Francavilla di Sicilia, a traditional village offering bars, restaurants, pizzerias, supermarkets, a cinema and a lively open-air market every Friday. Less than 900 metres away, you’ll also find a bakery with a grocery shop, a bar, and two family-run restaurants.
